Decisions
The corridor
moves people
between decisions.
Shoes learning
where the next meeting lives.
Tie tightened
to make the next decision.
Hair straightened.
The room was empty.
Chairs
still facing each other.
Numbers blinking
on the screen.
Heads nodding
at the same time.
The table
remembering
what no one had said.
Shoes still learning
where the next beat lives.
Hands still shaking.
Eyes still facing
each other.
Overhead neon flickering
like a school disco
no one admits
they remember.
Coffee machine
in the corner
humming.
The corridor
already
moving
again.

Thanks for Sharing @Tammy B !
@Mark Crutchfield i love how personification is layered, throughout the poem.
So the shoes learn, the shoes of someone, learning.. the meeting living? Like how awesome this is!
And the decision is made by the tie.
Sorry i am repeating poorly what is said here, I'm just trying to feel it. To see it, and i literally see the shoes going to school, just graduate and enter the place where the meeting live.
From the layering I'm almost buried in the visceral details. Stuck in the various scenes of this movie.
Perfection in its finest!
