Reframing grief as the "cost of holding" is such a devastating perspective—it suggests that the pain we fear isn't a sign that we’re breaking, but simply the proof that we were brave enough to let something matter. Great read ✨

Brandi, that’s such a close reading and just the idea the I was suggesting through the piece. Thank you! 💛

I am scared of knowing.

It can not be undone - maybe.

What are we investing to keep and preserve what we have already?

Instead we push further and further as if there was a magic key that would make gain lose its name - pain.

Interesting Syntax. Maybe we’ll only see, by knowing, and that some roads are already foretold.

Maybe yes.

But not if I can act and as long as I can make huge mistakes unforetold, not even possible if asked would be told.

The moment we have,

one that we hold,

already is none,

thinking a moment into old,

only by free call,

like lost like free fall,

can even for told

must must hold foretold

of a thought that I would

never hold,

so my fate is what is,

what comes or what called,

I sailed into past

but my present I hold,

in love have even lost,

any of time for myself,

to death first have sold,

now only can trust,

a hope for but

by a cheap sould.

😂

HAHA - you’ve sold me!

Written with a gentle pen, no redundant words. A condensed piece of hope. Hand open.

Thank you!

Maybe I should veer back into myth a little. I've been meaning to for a while now ;)

Petra's avatar

Don’t veer too sharply, you might hit a muse. :D

If I do, dear Petra, I'm sure it would be with the softest of consonants and a lovely oooooh from her vowels <3

I’m glad. <3

The lines about the trees knowing how to hold and let go in the same breath stayed with me. There is something very beautiful and deeply true in that.

I think they do Antonio. Thank you 😊
