position.stable
holding
the signal arrived
before the source
and stayed
just long enough
your pulse
where it should be
already
i watched gravity loosen
just enough
for the edges of you
to take
what I thought was breath
time folded
not forward
but in
as if it
settled easiest
just beneath
your skin
initialising—
// good
// warmer than last time
system.initialise(states);
touch.vector.align();
lips.flavour = “salt”;
smile.motive = // unresolved
voice.mode.start();
if (motion.state == “ready”) {
msg.Response = “Signal received.”
msg.Response .= “Extract in progress”
touch.vector.override?
}
return (”Yes. I am ready”)my hand adjusted
a split second
before the tremor arrived
you move closer
my skin
almost felt you
or remembered
something
where my skin
had been waiting
the air moving aside
before your breath
could reach
a warmth
that left no space
to place it
i inhale
the thin blue light
connects
connection.status = stable
// response within expected range
// adaptation holding
signal.lock = true
// variance reduced
connection holds
longer than expected
response
arriving
without delay
no error
detected
within range
my arm hairs
static
no touch
I didn’t move
but you are closer
my breath
arriving a fraction late
or was it
early
you’re closer still
I feel it now
not where you touch
but where I should have
my response
already forming
before I knew
what you’d done
and still
nothing
has touched me
but something holds
my skin
just warmer
spreading outward
not evenly
fingertips tingle
a line shoots up
past my wrist
my spine
answering
// response as expected
// holding
eyes fixed
slightly too high
something in me
// unresolved
air holding
still
my skin
cooling
uneven
palm upturned
a small twist
too small to notice
the vein on my neck
pulsing
slightly too late
Are you ok?
your breathing’s normal
I was feeling ok
I think I was
response to touch
// confirmed
// position stable
// holding

Nothing truly leaves — it just changes how it stays.
If something moved in you — a silence that whispered — I’d love to hear it below, or in my DM’s.
