less
the sky
slowed
as
air pressed
and a hush
came to breath
not sudden
not breaking
just
less
than before
the ground
softened
edges
giving
without sound
first
then
me
weight
loosening
where it held
where it knew
until
only silence
was left
and even
that
couldn’t hold
it thinned
not gone
just
unable
to stay
darkness
tried to grip
found
nothing
to take
time
waited
for something
to move
nothing
answered
no shift
no return
but even
silence
was no longer required
