only breath
the rain answers in kisses
soft lips gliding down your skin
air slowing
till only your breath moved
a velvet hunt for your thirst
circles drawn around your tongue
it folds inward
and keeps sliding down
you swallow
before breath returns
cold marble below
pushes up through bone
black veins pulse
beneath the edge of your neck
a deep violet heat
spreading till your
ashen face burns
from memories held
beneath your skin
your body remembers
From now until the Summer Solstice on June 21st, paid subscriptions are 50% off.
If you’ve been enjoying these quieter pieces, this is a gentle invitation to step a little closer.
Somewhere to pause for a while.
Step inside.
Or, if you’d rather support the work more casually:
☕ Coffee, cake, or a book — and help keep the impossible metaphors alive.
I’m always open to thoughtful writing collaborations.
Something more from me?
Nothing truly leaves — it just changes how it stays.

This feels so intensely visceral and intimate, particularly how you captured the way memories and heat can suddenly flood the body, proving that our skin holds onto things long after the mind tries to let them go ✨
